This week's entertainment
Jul. 20th, 2013 11:53 pmFinished ME3. Ending was ok. I was mainly frustrated by the slow pace at which ill characters walk. It's still no Dragon Age. Could do with reccs for similar games tho, I did enjoy it a lot. Story mode is a lot like God mode and useful for avoiding endless dull battles. Like.
Epic film day today
Macbeth for me only works if there are times of quiet to balance things out; the cast didn't seem to know the difference between projection and shouting at all. also the theatre floor was a muddy battlefield and I felt heart weary for the wardrobe department and all the laundry to do.
TV wise I am still working through Portlandia, which is excellent gentle comedy.
Reading wise I am on the sequel to Devil Wears Prada which is proving lacklustre and all about husband ensnaring. Yawn.
Epic film day today
- Pacific Rim - ok, good fun, fight scenes too long, plot holes MILES wide
- World's End - laughed a lot, don't think they knew how to end the film, didn't mind. Slightly disturbed by how many Fary King's I used to date.
- Now You See Me - Epic and awesome! I didn't guess who and how dunnit at all and it was very shiney! SEE THIS ONE!
- Monster University - funny and cute
- Kenneth Brannagh's Macbeth - dreadful! The promosied interval didn't arrive and they were still 20 minutes late finishing mainly as all the lovies were doing this..
