I've had a fab weekend. Visitors arrived Friday evening. We had a good catch up chat, talked zines and fanmeets, and watched some old tv (and some Would I Lie to You. Still finding Lee Evans hilarious)
Saturday we saw Loves Labours Lost, and Won, at the RSC in Stratford. The first was superb - I'd never seen it before and the ending was just OHHHHHH!!!! Won was a good production, not sure it topped Katherine Tate, but certainly streaks ahead of James Earl Jones. The same cast doing both plays was really interesting. It runs until March, so I may go again. N swooned over the dresses which were rather lovely indeed. The sets and staging were quite spectacular. I think next time I'd like to do the backstage tour in order to see the working of all the moving platforms.
The day was aided by fab food, including afternoon tea at the Mercure. We just got in before they stopped serving it and I think we got all the cakes that were left for the day. SO MUCH CAKE.
Combined with waitrose groceries it was another upper-middle-class weekend. I should buy a Chelsea tractor and be done with it.
This morning we were awoken by the delivery man who was due to arrive in the 6 - 10pm delivery slot, but came at 9:30. Oh well. I ran M to the station, then N and I had a nice breakfast (tea/hot chocolate and chocolate croissants) and watched Who and Strictly.
I had ALL THE PHEELS during Who! I mean, all of them. Every pheel. I can't process it any more than that. But y'know. No flirting? Moffat lies.
I've done a small portfolio of my work this afternoon (paid career type work, that is) for a review, and cleared a 2 week laundry backlog, so that's productive enough. Oh, and changed the shower curtain and fixed the house insurance.
I overate today but am ok with it as it was all healthy(ish) and I decided this morning I wanted to feel full today. Dunno why, just did. So measured, planned and under control. Thumbs up.
And I just had a fab skype chat with K. I have some new anime recs and we shared some shippy squee, and it was fun. Yay for living in the future!
So overall, an excellent weekend. Harumble!
