Accountability post: gym stuff
Jun. 14th, 2020 02:22 pm I have, at one time or another, owned pretty much every as seen on tv exercise kit on the planet. Including but not limited to
- manual treadmill
- electric treadmill
- exercise bike
- trampoline
- ab roller
- electric muscle jabbing thing
- wondercore
- twist and glide
- mini stepper
- weights bench
- inversion table
- gravity walker
I went running for a while, a year or two back, and £70 for decent shoes seemed like a bargain.
I am struggling without my usual walk from the car park/ running about the office so I have bought tiny space kit and I'm just documenting it here to remind myself not to buy more. I still have a vibration plate but I don't tend to use that for exercise; it's more for the days when my legs are a bit numb.
- Switch Just Dance 2020 (I will let myself renew the music library for a year at £20 when my trial expires) £25
- Switch Ringfit adventure £90
- Switch fitness boxing £40
- Switch zumba £34
- Yoga mat and strap £21 (not used yet but see next entry....)
- DS yoga instructors cartridges x 2 £9
- Exercise bike £110 (using with youtube virtual tours)
A total to date of £350, once that dance music licence is renewed.
My gym, which I never went to, was around £500 a year. So £350 is still a bargain even if I only use everything one for novelty, I suppose.
Mainly I have to not buy more stuff, unless I really use this stuff. I have room for a flat treadmill to go under the sofa. Everyone is sold out of those, which may be a good thing. because it'd take my total to £800 which, for a lazy woman, seems a lot. But it *will* fit under the sofa.
