Torchwood Day

I've seen a coiple of spoilers but only to the extent that it looks like something bad happens, which given it's TW isn't really a surprise.

So, given it's the 5 hour Saturday Torchwood marathon, what do me and M need to sustain us through it?

My list is
-wine
- vodka later
- tissues
- cake. Or, maybe quorn. Undecided.

Another TV question - vascillation

On reflection, am I that bothered about getting sky/ cable?

I could get HD freeview and a PVR instead.

I'd lose Lost, but could get it on Itunes the next day...

Is there anything else I'd really miss?

Arse, summer, etc

I fall over and am generally clumsy in the heat (legs are dalmation like and thus covered up until at least September.) For the unititiated this is why I hate cluttered houses with things designed to make me fall over them; it's too much energy coping with getting around. Thus I am excited about volume of built in storage in new house with less tripping opportunities. (And also thinking of calling to ask if girl buying my house would like me to leave some of the pointier storage)

I think last night's trip at the top of the stairs has done something bad to my toe. It's very bruised. Last time I broke it, it did go golf ball like, so I doubt it is broken. I have also managed to mow the lawn but it hurt a lot.

Therefore I need some medicinal alcohol! I am optomistic of being ok to drive to boots to pick up my new specs if I drive on the right side of the foot. Luckily Sainsbury is right next door for booze :-D and an ATM. I suspect £20 on taxis would be amuch better investmentr than trying to walk to the station today. Although £20 is a lot so it's gonna have to be Blue Nun instead of Nice Booze.

Free Stuff in Glasgow

I will freecycle the following if no one wants them, but do you know someone moving into a new pad that could use stuff?

- white tile top wood dining table + 4 matching chairs, excellent nick, not a mark on it
- pale wood veneered sideboard with glass windowed top bit, ideal for displaying nick naks + has fold down booze space so I guess good for glassware and cocktails too
- pale wood veneer cupboard, comes up to me chest and is an arm wide
- pale wood corner shelf unit , tall, good nick again
- 2 pappasan chairs with beige corduroy cushions, again good nick

All from pet free etc home
